Below is a very brief & simplified overview of what we believe:
1) The Bible is inspired by God and, as such, is infallible
2) There is only one true God. He has revealed himself to be a tri-unity: Father/Son/Holy Spirit
3) Jesus Christ is fully God - always has been, always will be.
4) Mankind (Adam & Eve) were created good but chose to disobey God (sin). In doing so they incurred both physical and spiritual death
5) Jesus came to break the power of sin through his sinless life, sacrificial death and resurrection. He is the ONLY way to salvation
6) Holy Spirit baptism. This was the normal experience of the early church and is to be expected/sought today. We also believe that speaking in tongues is the initial physical evidence of this experience
7) There will be a final judgement. The wicked will be cast into the lake of fire (often referred to as Hell) while the righteous - those who have accepted Jesus Christ - will be welcomed into paradise (Heaven). These two dispositions are permanent and cannot be changed.
Mt View Christian Center is affiliated with the Assemblies of God. Again, the preceding is a very brief overview of our most fundamental beliefs. For more information please contact us or go to AG.org for more detailed information.
